Basketball Game Preview: South Lakes Seahawks vs. Potomac Falls Panthers

The South Lakes Seahawks will venture away from home to face off against the Potomac Falls Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. South Lakes is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, South Lakes was beaten by Centreville 53-18. While losing is never fun, the Seahawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Wildcats are ranked 12th).

Meanwhile, Potomac Falls hadn't done well against Briar Woods recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Potomac Falls snuck past Briar Woods with a 54-48 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Potomac Falls' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for South Lakes, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
