The win was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Dwayne Williams was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Lamar Stanfield and CJ Logan did most of the damage at the plate: Stanfield got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, five RBI, and one run, while Logan scored two runs and stole five bases while going 3-for-5.
