Softball Game Preview: West Seneca West Warhawks vs. Frontier Falcons

West Seneca West is 2-8 against Frontier since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Warhawks will venture away from home to take on the Falcons at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

West Seneca West can't be too happy about their upcoming road match considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Thursday. They lost 11-4 to Grand Island. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Frontier's offense. They fell 5-0 to North Tonawanda on Friday. The Falcons have struggled against the Lumberjacks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Sophia Petrie spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.

West Seneca West might still be hurting after the 13-6 loss they got from Frontier in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Warhawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
