Baseball Recap: Discovery Canyon Thunder vs. Pueblo County Hornets

If Discovery Canyon was riding high off their 21-6 takedown of Mesa Ridge last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Discovery Canyon Thunder fell just short of the Pueblo County Hornets by a score of 7-6 on Thursday. Discovery Canyon has struggled against Pueblo County recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Nate Singleton and Ty Peters did some serious damage despite the final result: Singleton went 2-for-5 with two runs and a triple, while Peters scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Cody, who scored two runs and stole a base.
