Basketball Recap: St. Peter's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Fairmont typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday St. Peter proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Fairmont Cardinals by a score of 61-51. The Saints have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cardinals, too.

The win (which was St. Peter's third in a row) raised their record to 12-8. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Fairmont, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-6.

St. Peter will host Marshall at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Marshall knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 19 matches -- so hopefully St. Peter likes a good challenge. As for Fairmont, they are taking a road trip to take on Redwood Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
