            Football Recap: Paris Tigers vs. Richland County Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            
Paris had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but  on Friday they dropped down to 4-3 to make it six. They took  a  41-22 bruising from Richland County. While losing is never fun, Paris can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 328th, while Richland County is ranked 155th).
As for Richland County, the  win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 26.9 points thus far.
  Gavyn Cothern produced another solid  effort rushing for 157 yards and a pair of  scores on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 219 yards and two  TDs on only 13 passes. Those  219  passing yards gave  him a new career-high. Richland County's leading receiver  Cooper Hires was  Cothern's top target yet again, picking up 134 receiving yards and a pair of  touchdowns.
