Basketball Game Preview: Minisink Valley Warriors vs. Valley Central Vikings

Minisink Valley and Valley Central are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Minisink Valley Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Valley Central Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Minisink Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Minisink Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell just short of Pine Bush by a score of 68-66 on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 744th, while the Bushmen are ranked 355th).

Valley Central has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 60-49 to Washingtonville on Friday.

Minisink Valley dropped their record down to 1-11 with the defeat, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Valley Central, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
