Volleyball Recap: Norman Finds Home Court Redemption Against Putnam City West

There's no place like home for Norman, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Putnam City West Patriots on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Norman took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-6, 25-11.

Olivia Carter paced Norman's offense, picking up eight kills. Carter got some help from Camryn Burress and her 16 assists. Valyn Donahoo controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Norman's record now sits at 30-9. As for Putnam City West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Norman didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Deer Creek on the 14th. Putnam City West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
