Basketball Recap: Brimfield Extends Winning Streak to Four

Brimfield won against Illini Bluffs last Tuesday with 58 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Brimfield Indians enjoyed a cozy 58-42 win over the West Prairie Cyclones. That's more bragging rights for the Indians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, West Prairie still got an impressive performance from Ryan Clark, who went 7 of 9 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds. Braden Coplan was another key player, putting up eight points and five assists.

The victory (which was Brimfield's fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for West Prairie, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

Brimfield will challenge Mercer County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Prairie, they will square off against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
