Soccer Game Preview: Moore Haven vs. Evangelical Christian

Moore Haven is 0-5 against Evangelical Christian since November of 2016 but things could change on Monday. The Moore Haven Terriers will take on the Evangelical Christian Sentinels at 7:00 p.m. Moore Haven will be strutting in after a victory while Evangelical Christian will be coming in after a loss.

Moore Haven is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Imagine School at North Port onto the board and left with a 7-0 win last Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Terriers as it put an end to their 11-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Evangelical Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against Gateway Charter, falling 7-3. One thing that didn't help the Sentinels' chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Ross Hitchins.

Evangelical Christian hit Gateway Charter with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Owen Schild, Benjamin Moss, and Spenser Sinski.

Moore Haven's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-14-1. As for Evangelical Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11-1.

Moore Haven suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Evangelical Christian in their previous meeting back in November of 2018. Can Moore Haven avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
