Baseball Recap: Brazos Comes Up Short

Brazos suffered their closest defeat since March 13, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Van Vleck Leopards by a score of 5-3. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Leopards recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Brazos saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Polasek, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Brazos' loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Van Vleck, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

While Brazos had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
