Soccer Game Preview: Richards vs. Reavis

Richards hasn't had much luck against Reavis recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will take on the Rams at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Richards is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Rich Township get on the board and left with a 9-0 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for Richards, who have now won six matches by three goals or more so far this season.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Reavis and Blue Island Eisenhower meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Rams came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 2-0.

Alessen Quinones and Alysson Mendoza scored both of Reavis' goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

The victory made it two in a row for Richards and bumps their season record up to 8-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those two contests. As for Reavis, their record now sits at 10-8-1.

Richards suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Reavis in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
