Volleyball Recap: Abingdon/Avon Comes Up Short

Abingdon/Avon lost against Wethersfield back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tornadoes fell 2-0 to the Flying Geese. The Tornadoes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Abingdon/Avon's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Wethersfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season.

Abingdon/Avon will venture away from home to challenge Monmouth United at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The last five games the Red Storm have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Wethersfield, they are on the road again on Saturday to play Brimfield at 2:00 p.m.
