Basketball Recap: Wayne Hills Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

With a playoff win on the line, Wayne Hills rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They strolled past the Morris Hills Knights with points to spare, taking the game 48-33. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Knights are ranked 219th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wayne Hills is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. Morris Hills is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-11.

Coming up, Wayne Hills will square off against Teaneck on Saturday. Teaneck knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matches -- so hopefully Wayne Hills likes a good challenge. Morris Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
