Basketball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past The O'Neal School Falcons with points to spare, taking the game 44-26. Those 44 points were actually the fewest the Lion have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Allie McIntosh, who posted 15 points and three steals. McIntosh's evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Avery Togni, who earned eight points and nine steals.

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Despite the loss, The O'Neal School still got an impressive performance from Kennedi Hamner, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds.

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill's record now sits at 5-0. As for The O'Neal School, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-28 loss against John Paul II Catholic on the 1st. As for The O'Neal School, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Village Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on the 5th.
