Cesar Chavez won the last time they faced Camelback and things went their way on Thursday too. The Champions were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Spartans. Considering the Champions have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Carlos Leon, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Eddie Pedroza, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Cesar Chavez was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .591. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Camelback only posted a batting average of .235.

Cesar Chavez has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Camelback, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-19.

Cesar Chavez didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Tucson High Magnet School on the 25th. As for Camelback, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 20-0 loss against Apollo on the 28th.
