Volleyball Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for Western

Western's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Desert Pines Jaguars 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won four in a row.

Western wouldn't go down easily and took Desert Pines into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-16, 21-25, 12-25, 15-11.

Despite the loss, Desert Pines still got an impressive performance from Nikko Sierra, who had seven digs and two aces.

Western's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. As for Desert Pines, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Western didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Boulder City on the 21st. As for Desert Pines, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
