Recap: Oakland Mills Scorpions vs. Wilde Lake Wildecats
The Oakland Mills Scorpions fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 22-15 victory over Wilde Lake on Thursday. That's two games straight that Oakland Mills has won by exactly seven points.
Among those leading the charge was Russell Carrington, who rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns.
Oakland Mills' win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Wilde Lake, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 4-4.
Oakland Mills will head out on the road to face off against Hammond at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Hammond comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Wilde Lake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Long Reach at 12:00 p.m. on October 28th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Long Reach is ranked 132nd, while Wilde Lake is ranked 136th).
