Baseball Recap: Granite Hills Takes a Loss

Granite Hills had lost four straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 13-9 to make it five. They fell just short of the Barstow Aztecs by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Cougars couldn't push the score so high this time.

Granite Hills saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vincent Jarvis, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs.

As for Barstow, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since March 14, 2024.

On Barstow's side, Joshya Romero was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Aztecs beat Granite Hills by a score of 7-4 on Wednesday.
