Ionia waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Belding Black Knights by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Ionia was: they took both sets by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-13.

Amaya Frias paced Ionia's offense, picking up 11 kills. Frias got some help from Grace Droste and her 13 assists. Logan Thomas controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Ionia's victory bumped their record up to 27-4. As for Belding, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11-2.

Ionia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against East Lansing on the 11th. Belding has also already played their next match (against Ithaca), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
