Softball Recap: Boyceville Bulldogs vs. Mondovi Buffaloes
There's no place like home for Boyceville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over the Mondovi Buffaloes on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since April 10th.
Aubrey Malean made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.
