St. Ignatius faced Olentangy Orange in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wildcats wound up with the same score they had in their last game (5-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Their loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

St. Ignatius' defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Olentangy Orange, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Ignatius will welcome University School at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Preppers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Olentangy Orange, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Centerville at 7:00 p.m.
