Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lakeland). They took down the Grassfield Grizzlies 99-82 on Tuesday. For the Cavaliers, this counts as revenge for the 58-41 victory the Grizzlies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Grassfield lost, don't look at Jacey Lewis. Despite the final result, he went 9-for-22 en route to 30 points in addition to eight assists and seven boards. The dominant performance gave Lewis a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Worley, who went 7-for-10 on his way to 23 points.

Lakeland's win bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Grassfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Looking ahead, Lakeland will venture away from home to take on Western Branch at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Grassfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Hickory at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Grassfield is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.9 points per game this season.
