Mainland Regional had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Delsea Crusaders. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Mainland Regional's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-10-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Delsea, their loss ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 17-2.
