Flag Football Game Preview: Christian Brothers Falcons vs. Florin Panthers + Official Tickets

The Christian Brothers Falcons will welcome the Florin Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Christian Brothers will be strutting in after a win while Florin will be coming in after a defeat.

On Wednesday, Christian Brothers got the win against Rio Americano by a conclusive 46-20. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won five in a row.

Christian Brothers found their leader in sophomore Taylor Jernigan, who threw for 325 yards and four touchdowns on only 18 passes, and also rushed for 38 yards. Gabriella Devlin was in the mix too, providing the Falcons with two scores.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Christian Brothers' defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Senyah Haynes, Kaelyn Montemayor, and Alannah Gill, who each picked up one sack apiece. Devlin got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Florin's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They lost 25-0 to Fairfield. The shutout was out of character for the Panthers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Florin didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Paris Jones and Jazzjunae Landers.

Christian Brothers' win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Florin, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.
