Baseball Recap: Columbus Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Columbus strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against the Southeast Lancers as they made off with an 11-1 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Titans also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2021.

Columbus got a big performance out of Syler Schuberger, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Jace Midgett, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Columbus pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 8.7 runs this season. As for Southeast, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-3.

Columbus has already played their next matchup (against Field Kindley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Southeast, they have also already played their next contest, a 6-5 loss against Central Heights on the 3rd.
