Basketball Game Preview: Southeast Pirates vs. Jackson-Milton Bluejays

The Southeast Pirates will take on the Jackson-Milton Bluejays at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Southeast took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 57-55 victory over Rootstown.

Meanwhile, Jackson-Milton scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were beaten by Memorial 85-58. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (56), the Bluejays still had to take the loss.

Southeast has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Jackson-Milton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
