Softball Recap: Camden Hills Wins High-Profile Match Against Oxford Hills

Camden Hills faced Oxford Hills in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Windjammers had just enough and edged out the Vikings 3-2. For the Windjammers, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Maya Stone spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits.

On the hitting side, Camden Hills' victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jocelyn Serrie, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Camden Hills pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Oxford Hills, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-4.

Looking ahead, Camden Hills will head out to take on Messalonskee at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Oxford Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
