Softball Game Preview: Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) vs. Floresville Tigers/Jaguars

The Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) will face off against the Floresville Tigers/Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Uvalde is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

On Friday, Uvalde came up short against Pearsall and fell 6-3.

JACE ORTEGON was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Floresville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over Pearsall on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Ava Cardenas, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February.

Uvalde now has a losing record of 12-13-1. As for Floresville, their win bumped their record up to 9-17.

Uvalde skirted past Floresville 7-5 in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) repeat their success, or do the Tigers/Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
