Boaz will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Madison Academy, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Pirates put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 9-1 victory on Saturday.

Ten must be Plainview's lucky number: they beat Fyffe with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Bears didn't even let the Red Devils on the board, marking the Bears' second-straight 10-0 shutout. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Red Devils recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Boaz's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Plainview, their record is now 2-0.
