Softball Recap: Norwell Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Norwell's offense. They came up short against the Central Noble Cougars on Saturday, falling 10-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

Kayla Watkins was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Norwell's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Central Noble, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Norwell will take on Leo at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Central Noble, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Noble at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
