Baseball Recap: Wagner Comes Up Short

Wagner came into this matchup off a tough six-run loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the New Braunfels Unicorns by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The Thunderbirds just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Wagner saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kason Kallies, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Wagner's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for New Braunfels, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1.

While Wagner had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
