Preview: Washington vs. Lee Academy
Washington have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on Lee Academy at 7:00 PM. Washington have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
Washington were able to grind out a solid win over St. Aloysius two weeks ago, winning 28-17. Junior Thomas Barr and junior Caleb Janous were among the main playmakers for Washington as the former rushed for 109 yards and 1 touchdown and the latter rushed for 76 yards and 1 touchdown.
Meanwhile, Lee Academy found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 14-41 punch to the gut against Bayou Academy last Friday. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Lee Academy.
Washington's victory lifted them to 2-2 while Lee Academy's loss dropped them down to 1-4. We'll see if Washington's success rolls on or if Lee Academy are able to steal their positive momentum.
