Volleyball Recap: Agua Fria Beats Combs for Their Third Straight Win

Agua Fria entered their tilt with Combs on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Coyotes 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Owls, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Agua Fria not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Combs between 18 and 21 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21, 25-18.

Bryan Burrows paced Agua Fria's offense, picking up ten kills. Burrows got some help from Xavier Matthews and his 30 assists.

Agua Fria's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Combs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Agua Fria and Combs will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Agua Fria is set to face off against their familiar foe Estrella Foothills at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Combs will take on rival Poston Butte at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
