Recap: Greer Yellow Jackets vs. Eastside Eagles
There's no place like home for the Greer Yellow Jackets, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 48-37 victory over Eastside on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Greer also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Despite the loss, Eastside saw an underclassman step up: Kaylan Hickman scored seven points along with five rebounds and two blocks. Hickman is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristen Mcbride, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Greer's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-8. As for Eastside, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greer will take on Laurens at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eastside, they will be playing at home against Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
