Basketball Recap: Syracuse Comes Up Short

After soaring to 67 points the game before, Syracuse was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They lost 52-30 to the Lincoln Lutheran Warriors. The contest marked the Rockets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Lincoln Lutheran was led to victory by Trenton Ernst and Ryan Hager. Ernst posted 12 points, while Hager went 5 of 12 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Duitsman, who had 11 points and eight rebounds.

Syracuse's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Lincoln Lutheran, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Syracuse will head out to challenge Wilber-Clatonia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lincoln Lutheran, they are taking a road trip to take on Concordia at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday.
