Softball Game Preview: Greater Lowell Tech Gryphons vs. Whittier RVT Wildcats

Greater Lowell Tech is 0-10 against Whittier RVT since April of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Gryphons will venture away from home to face off against the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Greater Lowell Tech 3.9, Whittier RVT 1) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Greater Lowell Tech easily dispatched Shawsheen Valley Tech on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Gryphons fell just short of Lowell Catholic by a score of 3-1 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Gryphons have suffered since May 21, 2024.

Meanwhile, Whittier RVT put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Greater Lawrence Tech as they made off with a 9-2 victory. Considering the Wildcats have won four games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Whittier RVT pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Greater Lowell Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
