Glencoe dropped down to 7-3 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They were outmatched by the Piedmont Bulldogs and fell 46-0. The Yellowjackets were red-hot offensively heading into the matchup (they scored no less than 31 points in the four games prior), but the Bulldogs' defense proved too tough.

Jayman Mintz threw for 68 yards on eight of 17 attempts. Isaiah Young was his top target, picking up 38 receiving yards. On the ground, Bronner McMurray rushed for 31 yards.

As for Piedmont, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 41.3 points thus far.

Piedmont's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rollie Pinto, who rushed for 37 yards and a pair of scores, and also picked up 54 receiving yards. Cole Austin was in the mix too, providing the Bulldogs with two TDs.

Glencoe and Piedmont are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Yellowjackets will take on Winfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Glencoe will need to watch out since the Pirates have now posted at least 31 points in their last four contests. As for Piedmont, they will host Phil Campbell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Bobcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.7 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
