Rochelle hadn't done well against Kaneland recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Hubs had just enough and edged out the Knights 3-2. The victory was nothing new for Rochelle as they're now sitting on three straight.

The win got Rochelle back to even at 9-9-1. As for Kaneland, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 6-12.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Rochelle will square off against rival Morris at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Kaneland is set to challenge their familiar foe Sycamore at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
