Football Recap: Red Level Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Red Level extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 3-5. They took a blow against the Florala Wildcats, falling 55-8. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 51-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Red Level still got an impressive performance from Malique Copeland, who rushed for 166 yards and one touchdown. Copeland is becoming a predictor of the Tigers' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 1-4 when he doesn't).

As for Florala, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-5. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Greyson West produced another solid performance picking up 139 receiving yards and a pair of scores, while also rushing for 61 yards and one TD. His longest reception was for an incredible 73 yards. Another player making a difference was Gage Davis, who threw for 218 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.

Looking ahead, Red Level will head out to square off against McKenzie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Red Level will need to watch out since McKenzie has now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Florala, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Elba at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.56 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
