Ephrata had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Palmyra on Monday. The Mountaineers never let the Cougars get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The Mountaineers not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since May 1, 2024.

Kaliana Auchey was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Aldynne Snyder, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Ephrata was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.

The win got Ephrata back to even at 2-2. As for Palmyra, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Ephrata didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 18-8 loss against Eastern Lebanon County on the 28th. As for Palmyra, they have also already played their next game, a 15-0 defeat against Hershey on the 25th.
