Basketball Recap: Petra Academy Takes a Loss

Petra Academy lost against Billings Christian back in January of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Petra Academy lost to the Billings Christian Warriors on the road by a 64-47 margin.

Billings Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sawyer Middendorf, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 10 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Koen Casterline, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 11 points and six boards.

Petra Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Billings Christian, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

Petra Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Foothills Community Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. As for Billings Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Gardiner at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
