On Thursday, the Friendship Collegiate Academy Knights faced the Parkside Eagles in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Friendship Collegiate Academy breezed by Parkside at home to the tune of 60-12. Winning may never get old, but Friendship Collegiate Academy sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Friendship Collegiate Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kahmya Dixon, who scored 22 points. Jonae McKnight was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine assists and eight steals.
Friendship Collegiate Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Parkside, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Friendship Collegiate Academy will face off against Anacostia at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Parkside won't have much time to rest: their next match is against McKinley Tech at 5:00 p.m. on January 5th. McKinley Tech comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
