Basketball Recap: Watertown Takes a Loss

Watertown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Waunakee Warriors, falling 71-48. While losing is never fun, the Goslings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th, while the Warriors are ranked 13th).

Watertown's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Waunakee, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5.

Looking ahead, Watertown will square off against Fort Atkinson at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Waunakee, they will take on Milton at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Milton will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Waunakee surely won't give up without a fight.
