Appomattox County and Altavista pushed the score to 9-1 the last time they played Altavista, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Raiders never let the Colonels get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. Appomattox County have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Altavista, too.

Riley Fulcher and Lindsay Kidd scored both of Appomattox County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

The win made it two in a row for Appomattox County and bumps their season record up to 3-4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored seven goals over those two games. As for Altavista, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Appomattox County will head out to face off against Glass at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Glass will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Appomattox County surely won't give up without a fight.
