The Winneconne Wolves will face off against the Manitowoc Lincoln Ships at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Winneconne is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
On Tuesday, Winneconne was able to grind out a solid victory over Shiocton, taking the game 5-2.

The team relied heavily on Colson Kleinschmidt, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Broderick Stille, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Winneconne was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .345 or higher in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Manitowoc Lincoln, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Everything went their way against Sheboygan South on Wednesday as they made off with a 13-3 win. The Ships might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by ten runs or more this season.
Gabe Eichmann made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Alex Gill was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Benson Dickrell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Manitowoc Lincoln pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Winneconne, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Winneconne has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Manitowoc Lincoln struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
