Baseball Game Preview: Clover Blue Eagles vs. Rock Hill Bearcats

The Clover Blue Eagles will challenge the Rock Hill Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clover knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Rock Hill likes a good challenge.

If Clover beats Rock Hill with 12 runs on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Everything went Clover's way against Rock Hill on Wednesday as Clover made off with a 12-3 win. Considering the Blue Eagles have won three contests by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Carson Politsch and Logan Satter did most of the damage at the plate: Politsch went a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI, while Satter scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance gave Politsch a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Dane Craig, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Clover kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Clover's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Rock Hill, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
