Griswold and Putnam are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Griswold Wolverines will head out to square off against the Putnam Clippers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses apiece.

Last Friday, Griswold took a blow against Stonington, falling 68-32.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 67-26, which was the final score in Putnam's tilt against Lyman Memorial on Monday.

Griswold's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Putnam, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Everything went Griswold's way against Putnam in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as Griswold made off with a 46-23 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Griswold since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
