Soccer Recap: Manatee Comes Up Short

Manatee might've scored the first goal on Friday, but it was Riverview Sarasota who claimed the real prize. The Hurricanes fell just short of the Rams by a score of 3-2. The loss continues a trend for Manatee in their meetings with Riverview Sarasota: they've now lost four in a row.

Anthony Ramos and Axel Felix scored both of Manatee's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Manatee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14-1. As for Riverview Sarasota, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 5-9-2.

Coincidentally, Manatee and Riverview Sarasota will both be playing Lakewood Ranch the next time they take the pitch. The Rams will head out to face the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Hurricanes will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
