Baseball Recap: Tuscaloosa County Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

Tuscaloosa County won the last time they faced Calera and things went their way on Thursday too. Tuscaloosa County never let Calera get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Tuscaloosa County got a great performance from Gibbs White as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave White a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

At the plate, Drew Keller was a standout: he scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Camden Barnett also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Tuscaloosa County hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive games.

Tuscaloosa County's record now sits at 17-9. As for Calera, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.

Looking ahead, Tuscaloosa County will head out to take on Helena at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Calera, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Fairview at 4:30 p.m.
